Little Dog

Schmutzie

JH wrote this about her dog: "I am very happy to send you a photo of Schmutzie, the dog, for your blog. I have often thought that she should be famous since she is so cute! She is about 5 years old and has lived with me for about a year now. She seems to be mostly poodle, but a lot of people think she has some terrier in her as well. She is a really sweet dog and very affectionate, but since she has been bounced around from place to place for her entire life, she can be a bit timid. I think the funniest thing about her (aside from the fact that she snores and sighs a lot) is that she is not at all motivated by food - I could leave a chunk of raw beef on the table, leave the house and she would never touch it - the only food she gets excited about is romaine lettuce! "

Turbo

My good friend BB has this to say about his dog:

"Ik stuur je hierbij een foto van 'Bo' , de liefste hond van Vlaanderen en omstreken. Turbo is een jongetje en nu 5 jaar oud en (!) is een echte schat. Zelfs als je hem een schop zou geven (maar dat doe je natuurlijk niet) zal hij je nog een likje geven. Grommen en bijten komen in zijn hondenlatijn niet voor. Het is voor zijn baasjes en zijn lieve zus de poes 'Mademoiselle Manou' (cfr. Sheeba') (love is in the air) een waar godsgeschenk hem in huis te mogen hebben."

Turbo lives near Gent.

Lola

The little one looking up to its Mummy is Lola.

I first met her at the dog club when she was still a puppy. She had her introductory class with me and subsequent more advanced classes. She is in one of the top obedience classes now and also follows the hunting class with the other retrievers. She is 2 years old now, sweet tempered and pretty.

NG, Lola's owner, has this to say:

"Ma Lola est arrivée dans ma vie comme un signe du destin pour m'accompagner dans des moments difficiles mais surtout pour me faire rencontrer des gens qui ont pris beaucoup d'importance pour nous."

Lola lives just outside Brussels.
